Date in SalesLogix ClientYour last visit to this thread was on 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM

Hello,

I have a problem for about 5 months and I have not been able to solve, but now I would like to know how to solve the next problem.

I use Scribe, to move information from one database to database "SalesLogix.

The problem is that creates Scribe 1 activity "SalesLogix" and is dated (2008-01-31 21:10:55), and SalesLogix Client can see the same date, but seeing the date of the database from the Enterprise Manager, SQL SalesLogix came up with a different (2008-02-01 00:00:26) and not understand that this happens.

At Application I see the correct date, but at the database is another date.

The problem is that the database is stored in one hour but SaleLogix Client is another date.

What would be the problem for me this error?

Bryan,

This is not a problem. SalesLogix, through the SLX OLE-DB provider, stores dates using GMT. The provider adjust the dates and times based on the time zone your computer is set to. For example, I am in the Eastern time zone. If I create an activity in SalesLogix that is for 2008-02-15 at 15:00:00 that SalesLogix provider will store that date in the database as 2008-02-15 at 10:00:00 because my time zone is -5 hours from GMT time.

Based in your example you are +3 hours GMT which puts you somewhere the middle east as far as location.

When you use Enterprise manager that data is being retrieved by the SQL native client. Since this is not the SalesLogix OLE-DB provider it will not adjust the date/times fields. This is why it is highly recommended to always use the SLX OLE-DB provider.

Hope that answers your questions.

Hello, thank you for your reply.
But I have set all computers, as well as host and servers (GTM-05: 00) Bogota, Lima, Quito.
I have a question, after having set all the computers their date with the same format GMT. I have to configure any date format in the SalesLogix Administrator or each client SalesLogix?

You have to understand that using the SalesLogix Administrator or Client will show the correct dates and times.

When you use Enterprise manager you see the raw date and time that is stored by the SalesLogix OLE-DB provider.

There is nothing you have to do to the workstations other than make sure they have the correct date, time and zone set for where they are located.
