Hello,

I do not know if this question is at the right place, please feel free to move it to the correct part of the forum.

I would basically like to have more clues on how to customize the Sales Dashboard.

I would like to know if anyone can suggest any idea on how the Dashboard can be customized by someone who is not familiar with Sql statements. Is writing an Sql statement the only way to bind the data to the charts?

Thank you for your help,

Regards,

Samuel,
I haven't worked with dashboards too much, but SQL is nothing to be afraid of.

What does the Dashboard show now and what do you want it to show?

SQL is not the problem when it comes to customising the dashboard. But the way in which they have been architected is - seems to me unlike any other part of the SLX system, with a whole stack of XML in there to keep you on your toes.

Combine this with a lack of documentation on how to change anything but the background colour (please allow me a small exaggeration here) and you'll realise that, if you want to make any significant changes, you have a big task on your hands just learning how everything fits together and how/where to make the changes.

Hello,
Thank you for your replies.
My dashboard is out of the box, it hasn't been touched.

My main concerns would be to be able to change some of the data displayed in the charts, or in the columns in the grids.
We do not use the Sales Processes, but we have our own customised sales stages, that we select from a picklist on the Opportunity details, I would like, for instance, to bind those to the salespipeline.
My knowledge is at the moment, very limited when it comes to xml...

Regards,

S.

I would love to be able to customize the dashboard and have not had much luck as I am not a programmer. All we really want to do at this point is increase the number of sales reps a manager can see from the default level of to 20 because right nowall other sales people get grouped to the other category. Any help would be appreciated.
