I'm going crazy trying to figure out how to allow my users to edit a pick list item. I could have sworn this was easy.
I'm on v7.0.1 recently upgraded from 5.2. I have "User cannot edit items" unchecked in the pick list manager but this is only allowing them to "Add..." items.

Also once they are allowed to edit items I'm going to want to know that has happened so I can make some changes in the database, has anyone done this before?

Thank you!

How about the "Text must match list item" checkbox?

In Archtect, the "Record Changes" checkbox causes the original and new value of the field to be added to the history table. Or the WhenChange and When Exit events can be used to do other things.

Ian, you aren't going crazy and it is easy (functionally, hasn't changed a bit). The picklist entries shown are the ones setup by Admin. The Add is there so they (the user) can add their own. But, these are distinct from everyone else. So, if the list is a,b,c added by Admin then the user can add d,e,f but can only edit d,e,f (as they highlight the entry the buttons will highlight). However, this does add a tad of an inconsistency in that another user may also add d,e,f but won't see the other users d,e,f - but the picklist table will now be a,b,c,d,e,f,d,e,f ! but each user will only see the global ones (a,b,c) and their own (d,e,f) !
