fiogf49gjkf0d Any way to bulk add to the library? I have a CD with multiple folders/files and don't want to have to spend any more time with this than I have too. |

difference between naltrexone and naloxone naloxone vs naltrexone fiogf49gjkf0d Assuming the the Library folder(s) are already present you could copy the files into the proper Library folder, then start the ADMIN and refresh the Library screen. This should force the new documents to be discovered, however, you will still need to enter Descriptions and Abstracts. |

fiogf49gjkf0d Thsi is my first time working with the Library. I already have a large Library structure created by a previous admin but the documents are about 4 years old. One of the sales guys created a CD with all new documents with a different directory structure that is to replace the one of the existing Library folders. So what I need to do is delete the folders under \Library\Presenting and copy this CD to the folder Presenting. Open admin and refresh. I see the structure for admin. I see it for a network user but no documents. I entered a description and abstract for several documents. Refreshed. Now I see the documents that I changed the properties for. I do not have a remote to test with. What triggers them to be able to see these to request if they are just copied into the Library? So, any way around having to enter D and A for all the documents? |

fiogf49gjkf0d There are 2 options:
1. Remote users can Request a document. This request gets synced to the host. When the SyncServer see this request it will send the document to the remote. You should create a test remote for yourself so you can see how this works.
2. You can use the Library functions in the Admin to Force the document to be sent to all remotes. This is controlled by the "Force distribtion of this file" check box on the Documents Properties dialog.
The online help should explain this. Just open the Library screen and hit "F1"

abortion clinics in college park md abortion clinics in college park md fortsonent.org fiogf49gjkf0d We like working directly with the Library directory versus managing it through the admin. Its very simple to use Windows Explorer to move files, manage folders. Its just a case of using the right tool for the job. The Admin unfortunately is not very friendly when managing the Library. Mainly because it can only deal with one file at a time.
There are many of us who, when just getting started especially, have lots of documents, reference material and collateral that is essential to the SLX library. It would take forever managing it through Admin.
The only thing is you have to update the Library through the Admin once you have done all of your juggling around. I usually like drilling into the directories I updated and do F5 a couple times.

tadalafil generico costo cialis generico fiogf49gjkf0d I've had the concept of pulling the Library into the client, or at least the WRITE portion of the Library. The admin roles only apply to Administrator.exe which requires that app on the computer + training if you deligate tasks. They make more sense inside the client where my co-workers are most familiar, not in some extra program that is locked down if you only have one admin role.
There are a couple of problems with the approach: 1) I used to use Windows Explorer and when directories are moved or renamed, it screwed up things royally in 5.x. When admin would rebuild the LibraryDirs folder it would create a new ID for each LibraryDoc, causing it to "think" these files were new. This would also create "ghost directories" on the remote side. 2) "Force distribution" has literally NEVER worked for me. Every single file in our Library is forced yet I have always had to request it up until 6.2. Whenever I cut a remote I place both the Documents and Library folders from the server on the remote since waiting for attachments takes forever and I just can't trust the Library. 3) I could try to decypher usersecurity to pull admin roles into the client but it's not 1+1 = 2 by any means. 4) I don't have nearly the time to put all of my ideas into motion. These include but are not limited to: Integrity Checker (v7's is awesome), Execute SQL, Realignment, and PickList Manager. They're almost too much work for any real benefit to someone other than me. |
