I am a contractor. I am working at a client that is using SalesLogix 3.1.6. Can anyone tell me where the basic scripts are stored? I need to search for various pieces of customization.

Version 3.1.6 - ouch

The scripts are all stored in BLOB fields in the plugin table where the type = 2 (See additional type values here: http://customerfx.com/pages/crmdeveloper/2005/09/01/8990.aspx)

Good luck.

Also, there is a tool called Electrician that can make the searching through the scripts easier on you. You can get it from here: http://www.jh3.com/software/electrician.htm

As a consultant, my first recommendation would be to convince them to upgrade to a new version. Although I'm wondering if a new install and then rebuilding customizations might be an easier way to go if they do ever consider an upgrade.

And I thought one of my customers was outdated on version 5.2!

No doubt. I think it would be a much better approach to start fresh with a new install, build in new customizations, using newer technologies, and bring in old data.

Thanks all for the quick reply. We are in the process of migrating to another CRM. I need to find some of the customization and make some minor changes until that happens.
