I want to start using the Leads and Campaign Management feature of SalesLogix. I understand that there are several third-party add-on applications that will help manage your email blasts and Marketing campaigns (e.g Swifpage) Can anyone recommend a simple, effective and not-too expensive solution for this?

Thanks

Depending on your business need, i would recommend using a service like this (Swiftpage or Empulse) as there are established laws both in the US and abroad (such as in Europe) that you must comply with when sending e-mail blasts. There laws are enforced in both countries, so having "swiftpage" manage it would take the legal issues off your plate. Also having to manage opt outs can be costly as you will need to have someone update your DB to make changes. I once spoke with a salesperson who said nobody from his list would opt out as he had a very small group of 50 people he was sending messages to. I proved him wrong as three people decided to opt out after he sent the first e-mail message.

SalesLogix has a write record to e-mail which will open outlook and write the e-mail addresses onto the to line. That's probably the cheapest way to do it however each person that received it would know of the other party unless you copied it to BCC.

Have the business try it out for 30 days and have them run a few blasts. The data that comes back from Swiftpage will be worth the cost (opens, clicks, call lists etc).

Given the choice between Swiftpage and Empulse.... Swiftpage is the superior solution... ZERO changes to existing SalesLogix forms/VbScripts.. For the same monthly price as Empulse you get more features (ex: more emails per day).

Go to your BP to sign up (if they are a SwiftPage reseller) If they are not then just jump on this link and take a 30 day drive for free:
http://www.swiftpage.com/partners/partnerSalesLogix.asp?Partner=rjlSystems.RJLedger

(oh yes, we willl tell you how to completely disable and make the Empulse stuff disappear from the OOTB SalesLogix
