Editing Teams in User Profile

Good afternoon! Can someone please help me? When you are in the edit for for a user profile and go to the Teams tab, there is a Manage button that when clicked displays a list of Team names. Can anyone tell me how or where I go to edit that list?

I tried that, but the Teams that are listed there do not match the list that is displayed in the Edit User Team tab when I click on the Manage button. I am not sure how the person before me set this up and it seems a bit confusing. Do you have any other suggestions?
