Manually deleting records from SLXBUNDLE for old bundles

fiogf49gjkf0d Any downside to cleaning up years worth of bundles listed in SLXBUNDLE. I wish the forms, scripts, and table changes to remain. My predicessor installed a bundle for every little change and they were not labeled well. Makes for hard administration with so much garbage in the list. |

fiogf49gjkf0d Only downsides I know of are. 1. you will loose the audit trail 2. if you will password protecting plugins through the bundle the plugins will no longer be password protected.
I have deleted from this table before, and I have also manually cleaned up and standardized the information that is displayed. |

fiogf49gjkf0d 2 will not be a problem and as for 1 the loss would not be a problem since the audit trail for most of these is worthless. For example I have ten named OPP that are merely changes to a v6 legacy form that has not been used for two years. Why my predecessor chose to create a bundle (and separate bundles for that matter) for a label rename on a lagacy form I will never know. I only create bundles for addons. If I am making a quick mod to scripts or forms I just edit and release.
I really only need to see bundles from upgrades and addon projects that I created.
Thanks for your reply. When I get a chance I will delete them in our TestArea and then eventually our production database. |
