Hi there
We are considering using the SLX Support client.
Do you know if the Products list in the Support client can be seperated from the one in Sales?

Thanks

I don't believe so (and BTW, you won't find many people that actually like the support client. I'd wait for v7.0 to use all the support functionality in the client)

I don't believe so either. I'm sure a bit of hackery could be done to segregate the data but it'd be a lot of work for very little gain. By waiting for it to be incorporated into the sales side, anything you do won't be throw-away code in less than a year.

No. I have to concur that the products listing for Support and the Client are the same. One thought to segregate the two would be to use the filters. Each item would be assgned a Family of Support or Client. I know in the Client the filters are saved for each user, so once they change the Family to Support or Client, it would 'stick'.

Not a bad idea John.

Thanks, Ryan. We've done a similar thing here to segregate items between business units.

In a similar manner I added a checkbox to the search products form to allow sales reps to find only "catalog" items as opposed to all the component items that a service person needs.
