Hi,

I'm installing SLX 7.5.0 web in a Windows 2008 server and I have to connect to an Oracle database.
I can successfully connect to the database using SQLPlus and the Oracle OLEDB Provider is installed.

The problem is that when I try to create a SalesLogix Connection using the Connection Manager, I don't see the Oracle Provider from the list of providers. I couldn't find anything about this in the Implementation Guide or in the Web.

Are there any requirements or configuration steps to see the Oracle Provider in the providers list?

Regards,

       Marcos

So you have an Oracle Host License for SalesLogix installed into the SalesLogix database?

When you create a SalesLogix connection, this is supposed to be done as an Oracle connection......then data links to this single SalesLogix connection reference the SLX OLE DB Provider.....

Finally, the problem was that the Oracle OLE DB Provider must be 32 bits. The 64 bits version was installed, which maked the Oracle OLS DB Provider unavailable for SalesLogix.
