Hi all.

We have SLX v7.2.1 LAN version.

We have noticed that there is a huge number of .jpg that are being entered into SalesLogix in the attachments tab because they are part of our email signature. Is there a way to remove all of these jpgs without from SalesLogix in an automatic way instead of going through each account and manually deleting these files?

Thank you in advance!

Yes:

================
SIGNATURE IMAGES
================
If your company has an image as part of the standard Outlook signature, the
slmn.dll will try and attach it every time you send an email using Send SLX.
To prevent this create the following registry keys.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SalesLogix\Outlook\MinImageSizeTolgnore - (String
or integer). The Size (in bytes) of the image (JPEG, JPG, BMP, and GIF)
files to ignore. Graphics files below this value will be ignored and a user
will only be prompted if there are other files of a larger size.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SalesLogix\Outlook\IgnoreFileNames - a list of
files to ignore. These should be separated by semi-colon. You can use * and
? as wildcards. The files matching the criteria will be ignored. E.g.
"*.jpg;signature.gif" This can be applied to all file types and not just
images.

Thanks Mike. This will help us for future attachments!

How about what's already attached in SalesLogix how can we remove those?

You can simply delete them (find them obviously first by name/size) and just ignore the attachment table. When you go to 7.5.4 SP1 or above there is an option in Admin to do that for you automatically.

Mike, when you say "find them" do you mean in the Documents folder (\Program Files\SalesLogix\synclogs\Documents) on the server?

Yes (or wherever the attachment path points to)
