Send SLX generates multiple emails

fiogf49gjkf0d When users send an email using the "Send SLX" button multiple duplicate emails will be sent. This behavior does not occur every time Send SLX is used. Some Client machines have never experienced this behavior. It seems that once this behavior has occured on a machine it continues to happen and seems to progressively increase in frequency. This behavior has been found in SLX 6.1 sp3 as well as SLX 6.2 sp3. These machines, both the ones that exhibit this issue and ones that don't are on MS Office 2003 sp1. Has anyone else experienced similar issues and has anyone overcome this issue?
Thank you.

fiogf49gjkf0d Andy,
We have experienced that here. I haven't heard of it for at least 6 months though. We are running 6.2 service pack 1. As for a fix, I'm sorry to report that we never did track one down. It was not happening all the time and trying to reproduce was frustrating. Seemed that the only time it would happen is when I wasn't looking. Isn't that always the case?
Some suggestions:
1) For the SLX 6.2 SP3... I think you can apply Office 2003 SP2 to the clients. Don't apply Office 2003 SP2 to anything before 6.2 SP3. If you are running Office 2000 on any of the clients, make sure it has all the latest updates.
2) Try unregistering and reregistering the SLX outlook DLLs.
3) Reapply the SLX service packs. Also, check the hot fixes. See if there is anything applicable to the issue. I've not heard of anything, but who knows.
4) Last resort would be to reinstall. And there are two routes to go here... your decision... uninstall Office 2003 and the SLX client. or just uninstall the SLX client. Before reinstalling, make sure to delete leftover directories and registry entries.
Number 4 is kind of extreme if you uninstall Office 2003 as well. You have to question whether at that point if rebuilding the box is easier.
