Hello,
I am linking to a table in SQL 2000 server through Access 2003. THe table has a decimal field (precision 8, scale 4) that displays OK on the server, but when I view the linked table in Access, the field is rounded and only displaying 2 decimal places.

What setting could cause this conversion to occur?

The problem is at the Access level. Verify what you are callin and/or use a cast statement.
