Adding Field to Base table in v7

fiogf49gjkf0d I have added a field to the account table in Version 7. It works fine except that every time I restart my machine (so when the services restart I guess), the Field Security Profiles have set my new field to no access. I change all the profiles back to give read write. After next restart, back to no access.
My database is the SLX_eval that came with v7.

ps. Should I prefix my new field with 'U' when I create it. pps. Should I actually just use 1-1 extension tables like I always have before? |

fiogf49gjkf0d KI - Known Issue.. Will be fixed in SP1 (due out mid-end of January). You need to MANUALLY reset ALL of your Security Profiles and reset every field in the table at the same time.
Since you are a "Partner" (like us then you can easily obtain the latest KI list. Go to the SalesLogix NG and there is info there on how to obtain it.
BTW.. bundling the field and applying it is also broken (the same way). -- rjl |
