Citrix issue

fiogf49gjkf0d I have client running citrix on a two server farm - identical servers as far as software, paths etc. When a user logs in to a published app they are prompted to log in, but get the error 'Test Connection Failed'. The client has put user settings on a third server in a shared folder to pacify Great Plains.
Is this config possible? Any docs on slx in a citrix farm? The endgame is to have the users see the same profile regardless of the citrix box load balancing sends them to.
Tech support says this is not supported and is not much help. This baby's gotta scale - any advice, whitepapers or documentation appreciated. thanks |

fiogf49gjkf0d Steve,
If you want to share user profiles between terminal services servers than implement some roaming terminal services profiles for the users that utilize your Citrix server applications. If your users are logging on, as authenticated by Active Directory, and they have no terminal services profile specified, than they will get a user profile on each Citrix box, but their configurations will not follow them.
Independent of that, I would log on locally to those Citrix servers, and make sure that I could launch and logon to Saleslogix locally, then publish the application as needed.
We have 3 servers dedicated to Saleslogix, in a farm of 7 production servers, using a hybrid of mandatory roaming profiles. We actually export the Saleslogix registry keys from the Saleslogix user hives as users logon, and export them as they log out.
The moral of the story is, don't complicate it too much. It's not THAT different from other applications running in a Citrix environment.
Good luck, Mark |

fiogf49gjkf0d Mark,
Are you exporting the hives to help AOI? Thanks ML |
