Calendar access for everyone

fiogf49gjkf0d Is there a way to automatically give a new user access to everyone's calendar and vice versa? Or do you have to manually go thru all of the users calendars? |

fiogf49gjkf0d I don't think you can do this automatically, but there is a fairly simple way to handle the issue without having to update each user account individually:
First, pick a user that really doesn't need to have his or her calendar shared with everyone else. This is important, as it is key to making it easier. Add everyone to this individual's list of calendars under "Other Calendar." You will only need to do this step once to get it set up. We'll call this person Calendar Guy (or Gal).
Now add the user account - and don't worry about the calendar.
Next, go back to Calendar Guy's "Other Calendar" on the Calendar tab, and add the new user to the calendar.
Click OK on Calendar Guy's screen, then right click on Calendar Guy's record in the user list, and click on "Copy Profile..." Click the "Add All >>" button, make sure ONLY the "Calendar" checkbox is checked, and then click "Copy." This will copy Calendar Guy's calendar to every active user account in SalesLogix.
Each time you hire a new person, you just add that new person to Calendar Guy's calendar, then copy the profile to everyone again. This is a small hassle, but at least you don't have to add the new user to everyone's calendar, or vice versa.
