Remote User's DBs constantly detach Your last visit to this thread was on 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM

Recently I have many of my Remotes complaining that they cannot login to SLX, and when I RDP into their computers, all I have to do is reattach the DB and everything works.
All I got from SAGE tech support is: "Well, maybe some other program that uses MDSE detaches it. Monitor the user's PC"
I wish it was that simple. I am a one man band and I have enough things to do except monitoring my 160+ Remotes.

Any ideas?

Check the SQL Logs and Application Logs - there *must* be a reason for this - it's highly unusual and never heard of this before.

When you detach the remote DB make sure you delete the LDF file that was created when you last attached the remote DB. This way when you reattach the remote DB a new LDF will be created.

Does MSDE keep a separate log somewhere?

yes, the same as the server:

c:\pf\microsoft sql server\mssql\log - check errorlog (the most current log)
