Default Owner

Goodmorning.
We recently moved our Canadian users to their own team. I created the team and moved all users to this team, and set the default owner to the canada team, but many of the users default owner keeps switching back to the settings prior to the team move. This prevents the users from seeing accounts that they create in the remotes. Any ideas what could be changing the default owner?
SLX v6.1
Thanks, Craig |

Are users changing it in the SalesClient via Tools -> Options?
Are you copying user profile information? |

I have the allow users to change these settings turned off. I am editing each user profile individually. Two of the users I changed this morning have changed back. |

What v6.1 Service Packs and HotFixes have you intalled?
Do you have Remote users?
Do you use the Slx WebClient? |

Version 6.1.3.1101 which I believe is SP3. We also have installed HF3 and HF8.
Yes, all the users that keep changing are remote users. No web clients used.
I checked everyone at 1CDT and they were ok, one user synced at 2CDT, and her default team had changed back to the original settings. So the remote setting is overriding the admin setting. Strange. I guess the best way to remedy this is to turn back on the option to let them change the setting and have all of the Canadian team set their default owner. |

Craig,
You may have to request that your Remote users go in and change their Default Ownership via Tools | Options. When I moved ownership and team settings (Security changes) on a 6.1 install a couple years back, I was told that 'in theory' I didn't have to recut. The reality was I wasted almost 80 man hours trying to find a way and ended up recutting in the end.
This may not be the case in your situation, but it held true in mine.

I think you are correct. I have had the users change the option remotely and the correct owner is sticking for the ones who have done it themselves. Thanks for everyones help.
