database error

Hi,
We come across new error saying
"Error accessing database:
connection couldnot be used to perform this operation.it is either closed or invalid in this context
if this problem persists please contact your administrator"
this error occurs when client access slxclient->contacts.
please help me, how to solve this issue.

Hi,
Sorry there was continuation to above menhtioned error.
if we press ok on the above mentioned error, there will be another error thrown, which states,
"error displaying address caption: operation is not allowed when the object is closed. if this problem persists, please contact ur administrator" |

This sounds like an error in some custom code to me.
Try setting debug to 'On Error' and see whether you can isolate the script that is causing the problem.
In future, please mention the SLX version that you are working with - available features, known issues etc fluctuate from one version to another.
If it is not custom code, please describe exactly what you did to generate the error, and on what screen, so that someone here can recreate it / diagnose it. |

Hi,
sorry for the ambiguity.
SLXversion we are using is 6.2.6, this error occurs only at certain time The error occurs everyday around 4:30 to 5:00 PM when people start leaving office. It occurs when they try to to a look-up (search for their contacts).
Network was fine. The error resolves itself when the user logs off. But the system hangs after the error so the user has to request IT to log him off or restart his machine.
please resolve this issue
