Hi,

Could anyone help me with the following issues:

- The Support team needs the ability to release an excel spreadsheet to users but like to reserve the ability to edit to a select few. Could this be released through the slx library and can we control edit ability to library docs ?

- Also, archiving library documents (it is taking a while to open slx documents from the library). We would like the ability to archive documents over x days old (x to be determined). The idea is to retrieve the archive docs as needs be. (Revisiting archive files will not be frequent)

Users cannot edit library documents via the standard Sales client. Only SLX administrators with 'Librarian' access can do that, via the SLX Administrator client.

You may be able to use the 'Expires' functionality to help manage Library documents that are no longer required, though it does not work exactly the way that you require.

I can think of no straightforward way to do what you want in standard SLX, though I don't think that it would be too difficult to build.

Are these documents logically associated with Accounts, Contacts, Tickets or Opportunities? If so, you need to build a new 'Attachments'-type grid with added custom functionality to control who can create the attachments and who can edit them.

If the docs are not associated with an existing entity, you'll have to create a new main view and then build the new 'special attachment' functionality under that.
