SLX 6.2 in Citrix Provisioning Server

The firm is moving many applications to Citrix Provisioning Server and we would like to put SLX 6.2.6 and Intellisync in this environment which will have roaming profiles.
We have the SLXSystem running as a service like Sage suggests and we are considering moving the Intellisync folders to a static location on the network.
Are there any best practices for this approach? Is there any best practices for using Intellisync with roaming profiles? Is there a registry key that can be set so that Intellisync options are not lost?
Thanks.

| The best option (unfortunately) will be an upgrade to 7.2.x - as this introduces a PATHMANAGER which enables you to relocate traditionally fixed items (like Intellisync). I can tell you others have tried and failed with 6.x and ISync (not that that helps any - but prevents you having the same pain !) |

What Mike said (as usual). We've been running SLX/Intellisync on Citrix since v5.2. Even now with 7.2, we only just changed to use pathmanager. Previously, we had an elaborate logon script that used robocopy (windows utility) to copy the intellisync config folders from all the other servers in the farm replacing the files on the machine the user was logging into only if they were newer. This way, the user always had the latest files 'local' for where they were.
Sorry - no reg keys and no way to force the files into the profile that I know of... |
