I recently had an issue, where when creating SLX Mail Merge templates with MS Word 2007, SLX would report that it could not find the .DOT file in the temporary files folder, after saving and closing word.

By default the documents created with Word 2007 are saved as .DOCX files and Word Templates as .DOTX.

SalesLogix is looking for a .DOT file which are Word 2000/XP/2003 extensions. The solution to this issue, is to set Word 2007 to save documents etc. As Word 2000/2003 formats documents as default, i.e. .DOC and .DOT files

I have made this posting in case anyone else experiences the same problem it the future.

Regards
