I have a Scribe Server/Console that I am trying to set up on my network. I have installed the Insight Server, but my console can't seem to connect to it (this is all on the same machine).

When I look at the Scribe Services (Scribe Admin Server, Scribe Bridge Server, Scribe Event Manager, Scribe Message Server, Scribe Monitor Server) they are all installed but none of them are started. When I try to start them manually that fails. "Error 1067: The Process Terminated unexpectedly". I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times.

Then When I'm trying to connect my Console to my Server I get :
"COMM TEST UNSATISFACTORY, CANNOT CONNECT.
Error on GetSiteInfo Automation error
The remote procedure call failed."

And when i try to register the Shared Scribe Internal database that I want to use I get:
"Error 104:Error opening data source ScribeInternal_MS"

I figure all of these other errors have to do with the fact that the Scribe services are not actually running, but who knows. Has anyone seen this? Does anyone have some suggestions? I've logged a ticket with Scribe, but so far nothing's worked.

Thank you,
Ian

Did you ever get this one figured out? I found a post somewhere that said the 'default' password of r the SCRIBE user is "integr8!" (no quotes)...

That worked for me...

I wound up restoring an old internal database where I knew the password. Luckily I didn't loose too much work.
