Consultant on West Coast

Hi all,
This may not be the best place to post this, but I figured I'd start here. We recently went through an upgrade from 4.2 to 7.0, and at the end of the upgrade we lost (no, he's not misplaced) our consultant that did the work.
Is there anybody out there in the California area whom we could contact to discuss creating a relationship with? We're a ship without a captain right now, and we could use some help.
Thanks in advance for your response!

Kevin,
We are talking with some people from Propellix( http://www.propellix.com/ ) right now. Havn't gotten too far, but I understand my bosses had a bad experience with their previous partner (I won't say names since I can't speak from my own experience) so we had to leave them.
I can't speak much for Propellix but they've offered to talk meet for dinner that sort of thing. But at least it's a start for your search. I had to contacted Sage directly. Chris Fierros was the one who found Propellix for us. There might be someone more local for you.
good luck, |

You don't necessarily need a "local" partner. You need a GOOD partner!
The tough situation you have is that you upgraded from v4.x to v7.x.. and there's a lot of partners that have conm into the business "post v6.x" who really don't have any knowledge/working experience of prior versions.. so it becomes very difficult to get the resources you really need.
We have clients on the west coast.. in the middle of the country .. and local. IN fact, we just did an upgrade from v4.x to v7.2.2 for a client in Texas that we have NEVER been fact to face with. Everything was done remotely... and in addition we moved them to remote clients (for their reps that are scattered all over teh country). -- RJLedger - rjlSystems |

This thread has the potential to be one where every BP pitches to you, which could become very annoying, hehe
- The Propellix guys are a great bunch.
- It is convenient to have a local partner, but most partners have the capability to remotely support you (which is more cost effective even if the partner is local)
- You can also contact Sage and they can put you in touch with a partner as needed
- Whoever they suggest or you pick to go with, make sure you "interview" them enough to understand their capabilities and get some references
Good luck. |

Good points Ryan.
In fact, we do charge more if we have to visit a local client that we charge to do remote work! It's all comes down to the cost to do business.
90%+ of our business is with clients we have never meet face-to-face.
Yes, Sage will give you a partner name but ask them to provide more than one and ask for partner names not just local to you. -- RJLedger - rjlSystems |
