We have a new person starting soon where one of their jobs will be to do follow-up to mailings we do. For instance, we mail 500 flyers and this person will have a week to do follow-ups.

To assist in this effort it would be really nice to bring up the contact to follow-up on and click an icon next to the phone number and it would automatically dial the number.

Is there any software (yeah, I know there's probably plenty) that does this for SLX? We're on version 6.2.1 and our phone system is Comdial Impact. At least thats what's written on my phone :p

How about the SalesLogix phone dialer? As long as your phone system can make a tapi connection with your computer, you should be able to use this to dial the phone. Once everything is configured, you double click the number you want to dial and away it goes.

I never knew SLX had a phone dialer. Where is this configured?

Go to Tools | Dial Phone. This brings up the dialer.

you will need to make sure that the local machines "Phone and Modem Options" in Control Panel have been configured as well.

Ok.. Found that. Unfortunately I don't have a clue as to connecting to our phone system here. Is there anything special to a Comdial setup? Has anyone ever interfaced with a Comdial system?

Can't help you there. You may need to contact your Phone System vendor for assistance.
